Isabeli Fontana

Supermodel Isabeli Fontana is no stranger to controversy. The Brazilian beauty, who is of Italian descent, began her modeling career at the age of 13, by means of a modeling contest. Although she did not win, she did manage to make it to the final rounds and that was enough to catch the eye of modeling scouts.

Fontana relocated to Milan within a year and began a very serious modeling career. By the time Fontana was 16 she was already modeling for Victoria’s Secret and appeared in their catalogue. This caused controversy because of Fontana’s age; at the time she was two years shy old legal adulthood and was modeling undergarments and lingerie. Of course, it was a smart career move for Fontana, and it resulted in contracts and work with brands like Valentino and Versace.

Over the years Fontana has been the face of numerous advertisement campaigns for companies like Dolce & Gabbana, Armani, and Roberto Cavalli. As of June 2015, Fontana has signed on to be the face of L’Oreal cosmetics and, most notably for 2015, she is part of Calvin Klein’s newest Fall Underwear campaign alongside Kendall Jenner and Joan Smalls.

Fontana has been divorced twice and engaged thrice. She has two sons (the eldest from her first and the younger one from her second marriage to actor Henri Castelli), for whom she took some times off from her busy career. In 2011 she served as a judge in that year’s Miss Universe panel.

Forbes has recognized Fontana as one of the 15 top-earning supermodels in recent years. Fontana is a known supporter of the Rotary International charity
