Noot Seear

From the age of 13 Noot Seear was sure of two things: (1) she hated school, and (2) she was going to pursue a career in modeling.

Getting an agent and working with famous photographers, like Mario Sorrenti, became routine for 13-year-old Seear. Seear relocated from her native Canada to start a career in fashion in New York. She has since then walked for top designers including Balenciaga, Karl Lagerfeld, and Givenchy.

Seear has also been the face of numerous campaigns, for companies like Calvin Klein and Vera Wang. Seear, like other models, has transitioned to film and recently was cast in a minor role in the box-office hit Twilight. She has been the cover model for both Elle and Vogue magazines.

Noot Seear’s name at birth was Renata, but the name Noot came from a nursery rhyme. When Seear first moved to New York there was another model named Renata, so Seear decided on the name Noot (which in Dutch means “nut”)!
